The Ice woman

The Ice woman
The Ice Woman was a 19 year old who lived in Tennessee. and we all know Tennessee is very cold but this is one of the coldest days in Tennessee. It was below twenty five degrees celsius. She was enjoying a nice cup of coffee. Then she heard her car, she was very curious so she looked out of the window and she saw her car moving away! She was tempted to get her car and she was not prepared. She had no jacket, boots, and shoes! She only had a T-shirt on and a pair of jeans.  She went out the door but the pressure was to high and she fainted, she was freezing really fast and the car crashed. Her neighbor heard the car and looked out the window and he saw her frozen! So he took her to the hospital. They had to break her out for one hour. Then she recovered! This was amazing for anybody who heard this! This is one of the best enigmas.

Snakes

By Heaven J.

Rattlesnakes.  Rattlesnakes are very harmful  to people and lots of other things, so when you see one be sure to not get too close to it.  Actually DON’T GET CLOSE TO IT AT ALL! because if you do be prepared to get bitten so STAY AWAY FROM THEM! I had a Rattlesnake in my backyard before and i had got bit by it and trust me it’s not fun,
I had to stay in the hospital for three weeks and a half.So that’s why I said stay away because Rattlesnakes are gonna be your worst nightmare!

All About Me: Minh

By: Minh Nguyen                                                                        Class Number: C13
Class: Mr. Cataffo
Date started: 11/5/2014

Introduction

Oh hi! I’m Minh Nguyen in Mr. Cataffo’s class and I’m writing this to tell you about my life. (though it’s abit too early to right it, but I’m still going to do it!!!!)  So, let’s get started!

My Life

So it all started in October 5, 2004. I was born in Ho Chi Minh City. (Yes, it does sound weird but I’m just going to go on.)  (I kinda have no idea on what happened in my childhood so I’m going to skip when we’re going to move.) So when we moved to Texas when I was about three years old, we were in this airplane, and we flew to The Lone Star State. When I got there, I was with my cousin’s family in a rented house since we didn’t have much money. Months passed, and I was playing tag with my cousin, Quynh. I banged into a door and I started bleeding all over in my head. I came running out, and my parents were scared of me and how it’s going to affect my life. (My sister on the other hand, she got blood on her first grade Magic Tree House book.) then about when I was in first grade, my dad took me and my sister to piano class. We had tons of fun and we went to a new teacher after three years of having lessons with my first teacher. My second teacher taught me other cool piano songs and we also had fun. Two years passed, and I was going to a opra. After the opra passed it was going to do projects. They were really fun and I loved doing it. I also had a best friend named John. He was almost like me in life. Now in fourth grade, I am doing Enigma projects, and other insane stuff that require science, patience, and kids that Mr. Cataffo can trust, (Mr. Cataffo’s my teacher) which happens to be Kenzie, Olivia, Brayden, Cole, Spencer, Cillian, Ian Bailey, Arely, My best friend, John, and lastly, me. We are doing fun stuff that requires patience and trustworthyness. I have that and I’d love to continue this, but I won’t be able to since I can’t go to the future. (blame that time-machines aren’t invented not this!) Well, I guess this is a good time to say bye!

Battle of the Alamo

Battle of the Alamo

by: Kailey

On Febuary 23-March 6, 1836 at San Antonio were 2 armies. One was led by Santa Anna and the other army was led by William Travis and James Bowie. The Alamo was destroyed during the war. The Mexican army has around 600 men dead or wounded. Several months previously, the Texans has driven the Mexican troops out of Mexican Texas. Approximately, 1oo men were garrisoned at the Alamo. A lot people know about David Crockett, and let’s hope you know, too. Many people believe that David Crockett known as Davy was killed after the battle, and a soldier’s book mentioned that Davy was captured before the battle and was killed. After the battle, The Texans’ bodies were burned or thrown away.

Veteran's Day

By:Kashif

On Monday, we celebrated one of the United States, one of the most honorable holidays
and that is Veterans Day. On this day, we celebrate all the veterans in the military which
includes Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard. Some of the presidents like Dwight D.
Eisenhower were part of the military. The Tomb of Unknown Soldiers who fought in the
battle are also honored because they served in the military even though they weren’t  identified.
The holiday was a national holiday in 1954.

Comanche Tribe by Jacie

    By:Jacie

In the fourth grade class room of Mrs.Ward we learned about the indians that lived in Texas. The one I like the best is the Camanche tribe. The Camanche tribe lived in the Great Plains. They were a very agressive tribe. When the white settlers came to there teritory they came to were they lived and kidnapped adults and children. The children were normaly adopted into there tribe. During the Gold Rush more and more settlers came to live in the Great Plains. After the Camanche tribe had kidnapped alot of adults and children they came across an important child they took her they burned off her nose and shaved her head. When the Camanche tribe wanted to come to peace with th whites they brought back all the adults and children. When the whites saw the girl they did not come to peace with the tribe instead they fought. After that the camanche tribe either moved from the Great Plains or died from the diseases the settlers brought with them.
