Battle of the Alamo

by: Kailey

On Febuary 23-March 6, 1836 at San Antonio were 2 armies. One was led by Santa Anna and the other army was led by William Travis and James Bowie. The Alamo was destroyed during the war. The Mexican army has around 600 men dead or wounded. Several months previously, the Texans has driven the Mexican troops out of Mexican Texas. Approximately, 1oo men were garrisoned at the Alamo. A lot people know about David Crockett, and let’s hope you know, too. Many people believe that David Crockett known as Davy was killed after the battle, and a soldier’s book mentioned that Davy was captured before the battle and was killed. After the battle, The Texans’ bodies were burned or thrown away.
